Take a Virtual Watercolor Journey at the Foster

Painting the Grand Canyon using Procreate and the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro

Painting the Grand Canyon using Procreate and the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro

Step into the “virtual” shoes of Tony Foster and paint the wilderness found inside The Foster, with artist Charles Woodruff Coates. In this beginning digital painting workshop, we’ll examine Tony Foster’s process and techniques in his Exploring Beauty journey, then re-create his methodologies on the iPad. Participants will learn how to apply elements of art such as line, shape, texture and color to digital painting. Each participant will receive a digital portfolio of prints and resource packet from the workshop.

Participants must bring their own fully charged iPad and stylus (Apple Pencil recommended) with Procreate application loaded onto their iPad. Artists of all levels are welcome in this beginning workshop. Please reach out to charles@thefoster.org with any questions.

$30 ticket price* includes a digital portfolio of prints and resource packet from the workshop that can be used to continue your digital painting journey after the workshop.
